In response to the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe V. Wade, Advancing Justice-Atlanta issued the following statement.


Advancing Justice-Atlanta is devastated by the Supreme Court’s decision to strip women of their constitutional right to abortion, by overturning Roe v. Wade. While abortion remains legal in Georgia, in spite of today’s decision, Georgia is poised to sharply restrict access to abortions. 

We know that the rollback of reproductive rights will disproportionately reduce BIPOC women and low-income communities' access to abortions. This decision will not only have a devastating impact on women’s right to choose but foreshadows future attacks on our rights. Advancing Justice-Atlanta reaffirms our commitment to fight for our collective liberation and to defend and protect our civil rights.
