2025 Non-Partisan Candidate Training
Asian Americans Advancing Justice-Atlanta is organizing a Non-Partisan Candidate Training, designed to equip participants with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to run for political office at the Local (County, Municipal, School Board, Judicial), State (State House, State Senate), and Federal (Congress, U.S. Senate) levels in Georgia.
Rooted in our belief that a truly representative democracy must reflect the full diversity of its people, this initiative is part of our long-standing commitment to increasing civic leadership from all backgrounds.
Since launching in 2013, our training has brought together a broad range of aspiring leaders. In our very first year one of our trainees won a hotly contested run-off, making him the first ever Asian American Superior Court Judge in Georgia. Since then, we have trained multiple House Representatives, city council members, and hundreds of future leaders who have gone on to shape policy and uplift their communities.
This two day Non-Partisan Candidate training aims to cultivate a new generation of informed and effective leaders who will run for Local, State or Federal office in Georgia, dedicated to upholding the values and driving progress toward a truly representative democratic system for all Georgians.
