2025 Non-Partisan Candidate Training
Asian Americans Advancing Justice-Atlanta is organizing a Non-Partisan Candidate Training to educate and train Asian American, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander (AANHPI), Arab, Middle Eastern, Muslim, and South Asian (AMEMSA) and other communities of color to pursue Local (County, Municipal, School Board, Judicial), State (State House, State Senate) and Federal (Congress, U.S. Senate) level political office in Georgia. This initiative is rooted in the understanding that increased representation from these diverse populations is vital for a robust and equitable democracy.
This two day Non-Partisan Candidate training aims to cultivate a new generation of informed and effective leaders who will run for Local, State or Federal office in Georgia, dedicated to upholding the values of Advancing Justice-Atlanta and driving progress toward a truly representative democratic system for all Georgians.
WHEN: Friday September 5th, 2025 and Saturday September 6th, 2025
WHERE: Asian Americans Advancing Justice-Atlanta office
WHAT: The two day Non-partisan Candidate Training will cover universal campaign skills, such as:
Developing a campaign plan
Crafting a message and communicating it effectively
Fundraising techniques and legal compliance
Organizing volunteers and grassroots outreach
Media relations and public speaking
Understanding election laws and ethics
