Prior to joining Advancing Justice - Atlanta, they held a variety of administrative positions in education, healthcare, and financial fields, and have served as a volunteer legal advocate, helping to connect arrested individuals to attorneys or legal help, for many years. Originally from Athens, Georgia, Erin has been invested since their teenage years in advocating for immigrants and the challenges they face in the United States. Helping people request records and apply for benefits really opened their eyes to the arbitrary, racist, bureaucratic dehumanization of the immigration system. They are excited to join a team that is invested in creative legal challenges to this system and fighting for a more equitable future for all.

In their spare time, they love to spend time with their wife and take care of their dog and part-time cat.
