Juliana Guerrero is a Paralegal and DOJ Accredited Representative for the Legal Services Team. She first came to the United States in 2004. Juliana holds a degree in law and political science from University of Los Andes along with a certificate from the Program of Advanced Studies on Human Rights and Humanitarian Law from American University and a certificate in International Criminal Law from Leiden University. She is passionate about human rights, immigrant justice, and gender justice. Previously, she has represented asylum seekers before Colombian Courts, worked with international NGOs on accountability projects for humanitarian actors in crises contexts and volunteered at the US southern border by providing trauma-enforced care and humanitarian aid to migrants and asylum seekers.
In her free time Juliana enjoys traveling, going to concerts, and dancing.
