Kristen Vermetten

Civic Engagement & Organizing Director

Kristen has worked throughout her career in the Civic Engagement space. Her initial introduction was working alongside the Mayor of Los Angeles, before supporting federal and state based campaigns while in school in New York. 

Upon her arrival in Georgia, she organized with the Inmate Project, prioritizing voter registration efforts for those formerly incarcerated before working as a Healthcare Organizer at New Georgia Project. During her tenure, she was able to move into leadership specializing in base building and voter mobilization efforts. Through her experiences in the south, she has become deeply committed to the key communities we serve, seeking to build power and serve as a bridge representing individuals in the larger electoral ecosystem.
