ATLANTA, GA   Advancing Justice - Atlanta applauds Gwinnett County as they announce a new election head and plans to expand in-language voting materials in Mandarin, Korean, and Vietnamese at the start of 2022.

“After years of hard work in Gwinnett County to expand language access in Asian languages for voters, we are beyond happy to see those additional languages will be provided to further support Asian American voters in the county,” said LaVita Tuff, Policy Director at Asian Americans Advancing Justice-Atlanta. “We know the power of having translated materials for voters. When you’re able to vote in a language you understand, it's empowering and life changing. We look forward to the Board of Commissioners approving these items in the budget and appreciate the Board of Elections for taking this major step towards progress. We will continue to advise and support these efforts”.
